What is CGNAT and how does it work?

CGNAT is short for Carrier-grade NAT, it’s a type of technology that allows multiple users to share a single public IP address.

It’s a clever method used by service providers (like us) to expand our pool of usable IPv4 addresses, helping to give smooth and reliable Internet access for everyone.

Essentially, your modem or router will be assigned a private IP address instead of a unique public IP address. Our network provider then works its magic by translating that private IP address into a shared public address, giving you smooth access to the Internet.
