What is a Proof of Occupancy document?

A Proof of Occupancy document (POD) is an official record that verifies you’re the current resident at a property.

We ask for a POD to be provided in the case that we can’t locate your service address in the nbn® system or you’re moving into a new property and the previous occupants haven’t disconnected their nbn® service.

A POD must include your full name, service address and the date you moved into the property. Here are the types of PODs we accept:
•    A signed lease agreement
•    A certificate of title of land
•    A fixed utility bill (water, electricity or gas) from the last 3-months
•    A current Insurance document, specific to the address (business or home and contents)

We ask that you only provide a POD on request.
More do not store unnecessary personal information.
