What’s the difference between FTTP, FTTN or FTTC?

These terms refer to how your home is connected to the nbn® network:

  • FTTP (Fibre to the Premises): a fibre cable connects directly to your home.
  • FTTC (Fibre to the Curb): Fibre runs close to your home with a short copper connection going the rest of the way.
  • FTTN (Fibre to the Node): Fibre runs to a nearby node, with copper used for the rest of the connection.
